Man pleads guilty to driving drunk, striking 71-year-old woman
JAMES CITY – A Williamsburg man has pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a Christmas Eve incident in which he hit a 71-year-old woman with his car while driving drunk.
Police later arrested Mark Francis Schneider, 39, and charged him with driving under the influence of alcohol and reckless driving. He was found to have a blood-alcohol concentration of between .15 percent and .20 percent, according to court records. The legal limit in Virginia is .08 percent.
